Play with intention. Sound with control.
Modern drummer, teacher and creator of The Architecture of Groove. From playing live with my bands to the studio, I help drummers play with more control, musicality and freedom — in any style.
Drums in my life, for as long as I can remember.
I'm Guillermo Temiño, drummer, teacher and creator of the project The Architecture of Groove. I've been playing the drums since I was 3 years old: what began as a childhood passion has become a constant discipline of study, evolution and the search for a musical identity.
Today I combine my development as a musician with two active bands, playing in real contexts and adapting to very different styles on stage. I specialize in modern styles —fusion, funk, R&B, gospel, jazz and rock— and I'm interested in groove, time control, dynamics, independence and musicality. For me, drumming isn't just technique or speed: it's making every hit have intention and meaning.
I've spent more than three years giving private lessons, helping others improve their technique, their coordination and their understanding of the instrument. Teaching made me realize something important: practicing many hours isn't enough to improve efficiently.
From that reflection, The Architecture of Groove was born: leaving disorganized practice behind and moving forward with intention, knowing at all times what you're working on and why.
More than a method, it's a way of understanding the drums: a system for building solid foundations and playing with control, musicality and freedom in any style. Everything I do revolves around the same idea: learn better, play more consciously and build a deeper relationship with the instrument.
Beyond music, I'm driven by entrepreneurship, content creation, artificial intelligence, marketing and personal branding: tools to amplify my project, without ever losing the main focus. Because excellence doesn't depend on age, but on consistency, curiosity and the way you decide to learn each day.
Every hit must have intention and meaning within the music.

Progress in months what others don't achieve in years.
It's not talent. It's not more hours. It's having a system — or not having one. Speed, control and precision, step by step.
You practice a lot.
But are you really progressing?
If you see yourself in this, it's not your fault. It's what happens when you practice without a structure behind it:
No clear plan
You play whatever you feel like that day, with no order connecting what you practice.
Loose exercises
You pile up things you see online, but none builds on the previous one.
Stagnation
You've gone months (or years) without noticing real technical improvement, despite the effort.
Repeated mistakes
You repeat the same mistakes over and over — without realizing they're there.
The problem was never your effort. It was practicing without an architecture to order it.
You can spend your life adding up hours. Without a system, you don't add up progress: you add up repetitions.
The Architecture of Groove
A structured system for real improvement. A clear, logical progression where each step prepares the next. It rests on five pillars:
This system focuses on the pillar of Technique: speed, control and precision.
Speed isn't chased. It's built.
First it sounds clean and stable. Then the movement becomes efficient. After that the body relaxes. And then speed appears on its own, as a consequence.
- → Speed without tension.
- → Real tempo control, always with a metronome.
- → Eliminating bad habits before they stick.
- → Structured practice that really progresses.
7 blocks. 21 exercises.
One single order.
Don't skip blocks: each one prepares the skills for the next. That's the architecture.
Sound and Control
Stable groove, dynamic control, ghost notes and total command of the tempo.
Single Strokes
Real evenness between hands, endurance and stable speed under progressive effort.
Double Strokes
Control of the rebound and identical doubles. "It's not 2 strokes, it's 1 double stroke."
Paradiddles
Fluidity between hands and control of the full pattern as the speed goes up.
Displacements
Moving the pattern around the whole kit while keeping cleanliness and evenness.
Hand–Foot Coordination
Real independence and synchronization between all four limbs.
Bass Drum Technique
Control, speed and the ankle technique applied to real groove.
Each exercise includes: how to do it, what to watch for, what it improves, the common mistakes and when to increase the speed.
Format: the complete system in PDF. Yours forever.
It's not another pack of
loose exercises.
